Incident Report Description

More than 190 suspected muggers and touts were at the weekend arrested in a police operation to contain armed robberies in Nairobi. Police rounded up 195 men aged between 17 and 30 from various bus termini and alleys where they allegedly planned to commit crimes. The officers said some of those arrested were plotting to mug pedestrians on Sunday night. Others were extorting money from matatu operators when undercover police caught them.
