KK Unit reported alarm sounded from residence along Naivasha Road. KK Mobile Response Team (MRT) was dispatched and arrived at 2157 hrs (long distance). The alarm was pressed by one Makini Security Guard after they received information that one of the tenants residing in a house had been carjacked by thugs as he was heading home.
Detailed report revealed that the tenants son was carjacked by unreported number of thugs on the way to his premises.
He was driving his car registration number KBF 278W, Subaru Forester, white in colour, when the incident occurred and the thugs drove away with them. This incident was witnessed by a good Samaritan who knew the son an called other tenants who in turn asked the guard to press the alarm.
ACTION TAKEN
The vehicle was reported to police on 2724154. The registration number was circulated on KK Channel as well as inter-security channel.
At 2330 hours, KK Vehicle reported to have found the vehicle at Daphton Court along Riverside Drive near Prime Bank where it was abandoned with the owner on board.
The Victim was robbed of all his valuables and narrated that the thugs drove with him round to several places and at one time. They fuelled his vehicle up to a full tank at gun point from a certain petrol station which he did not see properly. They then drove to Kileleshwa area where they saw another motorist driving into Daphton Court and carjacked her, leaving the earlier victim there.
The second vehicle registration number was given as 79 UN 42K Toyota Harrier metallic black in colour which we also reported to Police and circulated on our net. UN Controller Maritim was briefed but had already been informed. Later on the vehicle was reported by the Police to have been abandoned at Baba Dogo. The victim was escorted by KK backup to Kabete Police Station where he made a formal report.
